Diego is one of the original skelanimals, released in 2005. He is a bit of a trickster, and loves to pester other Skelanimals, such as Dax, to play with him at night. His favorite scary movie is "Birds". He enjoys sleeping in his owner's closet, and watches over his owner when they're sleeping to make sure they are safe from bugs.
Appearance[]
Diego is a small Skelanimal with almost pointy leaf-shaped ears, but one side of the ear is flat. He has bat wings and tiny feet with white curved marks. Diego has fangs instead of the usual Skelanimal teeth, and his heart is placed in the middle of his chest, just like most of the other Skelanimals.
How He Became A Skelanimal[]
Diego would glide and fly through the night
His sense of vision was perfect and bright.
He would wake the birds as they tried to sleep
Screeching and flapping with screams so deep.
Tired they were, these birds so weary.
Each day became longer and uncomfortably dreary.
A lesson had to be taught to this bat of the dark.
‘Let us sleep near the wire fence!’ squeaked the small, quiet lark.
Diego flew screeching, and speeding passed the fence
And through the rows of barbed wire so many and dense.
He weaved and dodged through the spiral blades
And turned into chunks of hues and shades.

Every night, Diego would fly around
and wake up the sleeping birds.
This annoyed the birds, so they came up with a nasty trick to stop him.
They slept next to a barbed wire fence
and waited for Diego to approach. Eventually, Diego came around and went straight through the fence
which chopped him into pieces
